Happy Belated Valentines!

I do have to admit that I had the BEST little Valentines that anyone could as for... Everett and Oliver!

For breakfast.. Oliver got to have a Sugar Cookie in the shape of a heart with PINK frosting (of course).. Everett got to eat his regular. Although, the minute Oliver got his Sugar Cookie for breakfast, he KNEW it had to have been a Holiday! "Mom, is it my Birthday?" He asks. "Nope it's Valentines Day, Happy Valentines Oliver".

Then the doorbell rang. And what could it be? Some special Valentines straight from mommy! He was SO excited! He got a yummy treat and a card and Everett got a card! Oliver opened both cards :).

I had work that day, and luckily it was going by fast so I could get home to my sweet boys! BUT, to my surprise Oliver came walking up to my desk at work with my favorite flower in a vase (a Gerber Daisy) and a cute little Teddy Bear and a Balloon. Of course, everyone including myself thought it was the CUTEST thing ever!
My boys are the CUTEST little boys EVER!!

That is all!

Burger Night Extravaganza!

For us, going out anywhere is definitely an adventure. Although, we did have an adventure that we will surely remember last week. On Thursday, Everett, Oliver and I went out to get a burger with some great friends of ours. Our night was going so well of course until we got our food.

I finally got Oliver calmed down and eating his Hotdog and Everett was being so good. Then, the announcement came. Oliver-"mommy, I have to poop!!" Yep, it was definitely announced. I'm sure the whole place knew that Oliver had to poop ;). AWESOME!

Oliver and I head off to the bathroom leaving Everett under the loving care of our dear friends. Next thing we know, we hear a knock on the door. I open it to peek out, and see my friends standing there with Everett and Kristen says "Everett might have just had a blow out." I laid him on the changing table to take a peek, WOW did he have a blow out! It was all down his leg. And of course this happened on the day that I had forgotten to bring a change of clothes. I didn't even have Jammies for him.

Well, long story short, we did have to strip him down. Poor little guy was cold. But, it was what we needed to do. The restaurant gave us a trash bag to keep the icky clothes in, and we wiped him down with baby wipes (he wasn't happy).

I do have to admit that Walmart was for sure my hero that night. There was a Walmart in that same parking lot, so we just ran over there and got him some new Jammies! Of course,  Everett was wrapped in a blanket the whole time. The cutest thing ever, No one would have know my sweet little guy was naked in a diaper.

It's kinda funny looking back on nights like this, or the tantrums thrown by Mr. Oliver in the grocery store line, etc. during those times... Yes, I wanna pull my hair out. Yes, I wanna cry at times. And... Yes, It's hard. But all worth it. I wouldn't trade it for the world. These little munchkins have been such a blessing in my life, such an inspiration and such a joy! Life just keeps getting better.

Soon enough, I will find someone (a companion) to share these unforgettable moments with, and that will be even better.

I love my life, and all those in it.

POOR POOR BABY!

It all started with a cold...
Mommy and Everett both caught a cold about the same time. I'll admit, I probably passed it on to him because I can't stop kissin and squishin him (all because he is too cute). It has been a pretty nasty cold.

Then...

Everett he got his 6 month shots this last Thursday (my mom said she could hear him screaming from out in the waiting room). It was so sad. He never has been that mad about his shots, usually he's a quiet little guy. He never really gets grumpy unless something is really wrong.

Now, I know you may be confused, let me explain! Yes, Everett is 7 months old this month. He will be 8 months on the 15th of February. I fell behind a little on his Well Child Check-ups because of Disneyland. We are catching back up. We'll be all caught up on his 9 month visit.

He is a growing boy (that's for sure). And man, this baby can eat. He goes through baby food like no ones business. His 6 month appointment went well with shots and all. He is now sitting up all by himself. He isn't crawling yet, but will be soon. Dr says he should be crawling by 9 months! OMG my baby is growing :(. It's a good thing. :D.

A couple days later..
I noticed a rash on his chest, then it spread on his tummy and was spreading up his neck. I called the Dr on call and she said that most rashes can be viral so to make an appointment with Dr Stampfl in the morning just to get it looked at.

I had my mom take him in since I had work and come to find out he has the starting of an ear infection (dang it). So now, he's on some Amoxicillin and Tylonal. He'll feel better in no time. But, in the mean time I will take all the snuggles I can get :).

Everett has lots of favorites now. His all time favorite has become Elmo! He loves the Tickle Me Elmo. I think next in line would be his bumbo chair, then his walker (he only moves backwards in his walker. he hasn't figured out how to move forward yet) funny guy.

Enough about Everett..
How is Oliver doing you ask?
He is doing well. Poor little Oliver has come down with a cold now to. I was hoping he wouldn't catch it but it seems as though he did.

Oliver is still potty trained and doing well. He loves going to his Gym class on Wednesdays! He gets to learn all kinds of sports.

Well, it is late. So I better get some rest while I can. I got both kids to bed before 10 tonight. I might as well take advantage and get more rest myself.

GoodBye 2011!

2011... WOW! What a year that was. Lots of blessings and lots of trials that were well worth going through. Lots and lots of lessons learned, that's for sure.

Funny that as I am blogging about the year 2011, I came across a well said saying!

"Life has no remote. Get up and change it yourself"

This year was full of changes and things that I never expected would happen. But, we live, love and learn.

SO much happened in 2011, I honestly don't even know where to begin. I guess I can start by saying how grateful I am to have the supportive family and friends that I do have. I don't know how I would have gotten through that year with out their love and support. As I am a positive person and try not to dwell on the negative that has happened, here are some of the most positive events in our lives this last year...

First, on June 15, 2011 at 1:38pm, Everett was born 7 lbs. 1 oz. such a wiggly little one! Oliver became a BIG BROTHER!! WOW, he was SO excited to finally meet his little brother! Everett has been a HUGE blessing in our life. He is such a happy little guy and definitely keeps a close eye on his big brother. Out of all people, Everett giggles at Oliver the most. I am SO excited for when Everett can interact more with Oliver. Oliver is such an awesome example. He helps mommy take care of little Everett. Although, sometimes yes, he does tease and take his binky or try to make Everett cry. BUT what big brother doesn't. It's tough love man! ;).
Mommy, Ollie and Rett snuggle time :)

Aunt Celeste was the first in our fam to meet little Everett.

So happy to finally meet this little guy.

Oliver was so excited about his baby brother! Everett is all ready to go home (onto the next adventure).

DISNEYLAND...
First trip to Disneyland for Oliver and Everett! Oliver was excited to receive his very first kiss from Minnie Mouse (he says Mickey Mouse got mad). Oliver also got to meet Mickey Mouse and Goofy and Buzz and Woody and so many more characters he was super excited!
Some dreams sure came true on this vacation!

Mommy and Oliver on the Dumbo ride!

Carousel at Disneyland! The very first ride we went on!

Grandma Lori and Oliver by the River Ride in California Adventures.

Waiting in line to see Minnie Mouse at her house!

FIRST KISS!! Oh baby!

Halloween 2011...
I do have to say, our Halloween was FABULOUS! It all started with a Trick or Treat party with Mickey Mouse and Friends at Disneyland with cousins! Oliver chose to be Iron Man and Everett was a Bull Dog Puppy..
My little Iron Man all ready to go kick it with Mickey and friends!

Cutest Bull Dog ever!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVER!

Well, another BIG event in 2011 was Oliver turning 3! That was super fun! He got to have an awesome birthday party with his little friends at Kangaroo Zoo. Thank you to all who came to celebrate this special time with us!
Oliver and the Kangaroo!
THANKSGIVING!

First Thanksgiving for Everett. He got to have Turkey and Sweet Potatoes to. Baby food style. Thanksgiving was a happy day for us all. Full of fun with family and good friends!

Then came Christmas 2011! I do have a recent post before this about our Christmas! Check it out!

Have a FABULOUS New Year!

We love you!

Merry Christmas 2011!

"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful". - Norman Vincent Peale.

Another thing that makes Christmas even more soft and beautiful for me is my 2 beautiful, sweet little boys! I am SO blessed to have them in my life!
Here is a fun little update on our Christmas this year...

Come Christmas Eve, I had most my shopping done, but unfortunately, I still had a few things to pick up. I also had work from 12pm to 6pm. The plan was to have my mom run and grab those last minute things for me. Luckily, I got out of work earlier then planned! That helped out a ton! So I got out at about 1:30pm, and headed home! Boy, was my mom glad to see me! Shopping on Christmas Eve would have been a little hard with 2 babies by herself. Soon after I arrived home we went out shopping! It really wasn't as bad as we thought it would be out in the shopping world. Although, we did end up running behind a little.

Every Christmas Eve we have our immediate family come to my parents house for a ham dinner and exchange of gifts. This year it was at 6. We didn't get done with all our shopping till 6. Then my mom and I still had to go home and finish wrapping our gifts. We managed to get everything done, and have a fabulous Christmas Eve party!

I was super excited, because earlier Christmas Eve Oliver had said he wanted to go to bed early so that Santa would come to our house fast! Eh, that didn't turn out as planned... Of course Everett was asleep LONG before Oliver had even imagined to go to sleep! Although I was attempting to get Oliver to fall asleep he ended up not falling asleep till 12am. So, I was awake till 2:30am. Soon after that, Everett woke up, and I finally got him back to sleep. And soon after that, Oliver woke up and was half awake throwing a fit because he wanted to brush his teeth. Which he didn't need to do, he had brushed them before bed! It ended up being that my mom came in to relieve me (Thank you mommy). So she finally got Oliver calm and asleep, then cute little Everett chimed in cause he was hungry! As I was crawling out of my nice warm bed to get Everett a bottle, my mom, being the amazing woman she is said.. "I will get it, you stay in bed". It's so nice to have the help when I feel a little over whelmed. Being a single mom and doing this 24/7 is tough and sometimes a tear jerker (for me anyway).. BUT, I wouldn't trade my life for the world! I am so blessed to have these 2 little boys in my life.

On a more positive note...

Christmas morning was spectacular! Oliver LOVED what Santa brought him and was super excited the rest of the day. Everett chose to sleep in. To be honest, his presents from Santa are still chillin in the front room! Although, I do know his most favorite gift will be his WALKER! Oh ya, Everett LOVES to be on his feet! I honestly don't think Everett will crawl for very long, because he wants to walk so bad! Scary I know ;)! This little Everett of mine, he is so precious and so sweet, but when it comes to me giving him tummy time, he does get a little frustrated! He just wants to stand! :).

Needless to say, Christmas was a blast with family! And we are so grateful to have each other!

Much love and a Merry Christmas!

Love, US! :)

Here are some fun photos for all to see :)

Wonderful Winter Blessings!

I saw this the other day and thought it was funny but SO true, so I thought I should share with all...

The 4 Stages Of Life... You believe in Santa Clause, You don't believe in Santa Clause, You are Santa Clause, then you LOOK like Santa Clause!

I do have to say I feel very blessed to be able to BE Santa Clause! I don't know how I ever lived without my sweet little boys! although, I'm not really looking forward to looking like Santa Clause in years to come...

I love the hustle and bustle of this Holiday season. We all know that shopping is a BIG/sometimes bad hobby of mine ;). Especially when it comes to buying for my kids. I rarely shop for myself anymore, because I absolutely love shopping for my kids.

I am finally ALMOST done with my Santa Clause shopping.. The only things I need now, are Christmas outfits for Everett and Oliver. Boy, do I have a busy day off on Thursday. So much to do with so little time.

Oliver has now started attending a Sports Class at The Little Gym on Wednesdays and he really enjoys it! It's a class full of boys (which is great)! They learn lots of different sports and hand/eye coordination. Last week he played Golf and learned some Soccer skills. This week they are focusing on Football skills. When he turns 4 he gets to start a Break Dancing class, and he is SUPER DEE DUPER excited about that!

Everett, well... He is busy being Everett! He is definitely a little piggy. When he gets hungry, he means business! The other day we (me, Oliver and Everett) were driving in the car, and Everett got hungry! We were almost home but not close enough. Everett started crying for his bottle. Before we knew it he was SCREAMING and Oliver was saying "mom, he's hurting my ears", so I grabbed his ba and while driving with one arm, the other arm was behind me holding the ba for Everett. Good thing we were close to home, that wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world.

Oliver sure loves his little brother! Everett was crying the other day and Oliver said to him "Everett don't be sad, We are a happy family with you". That comment just melted my heart! And once again I felt SO blessed to have such wonderful little boys in my life! I couldn't ask for more! It's amazing how much joy and happiness they bring to my life!

Everett has been growing SO fast! He is in the 80% for his age. He is only 6 months, and he is wearing size 12month. I know that probably shouldn't surprise me. He's going to be tall! It's expected :).

Work is going well for me. I love my job and the peeps I work with! Looks like it's time for me to go, Oliver is teasing Bear and really he should be in bed. :).

Hectic, fun and exciting week!

I started my job on Monday! Holy cow that was a STRESSFUL week! So much to learn with so little time!

Monday was smooth which was great because I needed to get to work a little early to get my badge and all that jazz! I got there right on the time I wanted to get there. (Wasn't hard, being that I live pretty much around the corner.). All in all, I felt good about the day!

Tuesday through Wednesday went smoothly as well.

Then came THURSDAY! Well, I guess it was started with Wednesday night! Here's the deal, Katie (my sista - She is married to my bro.) and I both had work on Thursday, and my sister Celeste had a Conference to go to in Long Beach Cali. So my mom volunteered to watch all the kids. (YES, all of them at once #CRAZYLADY!). Well, on this WONDERFUL Thursday, We had an early morning because Oaklee was coming early (Katie worked early) and Bridgette and Laney slept over the night before so we had to take Bridgette to school early as well. So I got up and got ready to  take Bridgette to her school which is in American Fork and I was ready to leave on time... THEN low and behold, my GPS on my phone decided to be OBNOXIOUS and not work! AHHHH! I had been there once to pick her up, so I KINDA knew where I was going, but not completely. So yes, we were late leaving because I was STRESSING about my dumb GPS which still is not working right... GRRRRR! (OH and I forgot to mention, we thought my dad had to leave for Detroit Friday morning. BUT late Wednesday evening we found out he was scheduled to leave THURSDAY morning!). So anyway, I go home and we had to work out our afternoon, I had work at 2, Bridgette had to be picked up from school by 3, and Everett had his 4 month check up at 3:10... SO here's how that all went, I called Kylee and she said she would be happy to take Everett to his appointment (SAVED BY KYLEE). I wrote down all the things to tell the Dr and also wrote a permission slip for her to be there with him and him still get his shots that he needs. Remembered to leave all that at the house for her. BUT forgot to leave the insurance card, along with the fact that, earlier that day my mom and I decided I would take her car to work because she needed my car to fit 3 carseats with kids in the back when she goes to pick Bridgette up. (the middle seatbelt in her car doesn't work right now). AND I'm sure you've guessed already. I forgot that we decided I would take her car and she would take mine. SO my mom had to have Kylee follow her to my work to pick up the insurance card from the receptionist, then they both went seperate ways. Everett and Oaklee went with Kylee to the Dr and Laney and Oliver went with my mom to get Bridgette from school. MAN, and then Bridgette had a dress rehearsal to be to for dance that night as well.

What a BUSY but FUN day! Luckily our week calmed down quite a bit after that. BUT, even with all that stress I had 2 tests at work during that week that I had to pass or else I would get fired.. Good news is I PASSED! YAY! That was intense!
