Merry Christmas 2011!

"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful". - Norman Vincent Peale.

Another thing that makes Christmas even more soft and beautiful for me is my 2 beautiful, sweet little boys! I am SO blessed to have them in my life!
Here is a fun little update on our Christmas this year...

Come Christmas Eve, I had most my shopping done, but unfortunately, I still had a few things to pick up. I also had work from 12pm to 6pm. The plan was to have my mom run and grab those last minute things for me. Luckily, I got out of work earlier then planned! That helped out a ton! So I got out at about 1:30pm, and headed home! Boy, was my mom glad to see me! Shopping on Christmas Eve would have been a little hard with 2 babies by herself. Soon after I arrived home we went out shopping! It really wasn't as bad as we thought it would be out in the shopping world. Although, we did end up running behind a little.

Every Christmas Eve we have our immediate family come to my parents house for a ham dinner and exchange of gifts. This year it was at 6. We didn't get done with all our shopping till 6. Then my mom and I still had to go home and finish wrapping our gifts. We managed to get everything done, and have a fabulous Christmas Eve party!

I was super excited, because earlier Christmas Eve Oliver had said he wanted to go to bed early so that Santa would come to our house fast! Eh, that didn't turn out as planned... Of course Everett was asleep LONG before Oliver had even imagined to go to sleep! Although I was attempting to get Oliver to fall asleep he ended up not falling asleep till 12am. So, I was awake till 2:30am. Soon after that, Everett woke up, and I finally got him back to sleep. And soon after that, Oliver woke up and was half awake throwing a fit because he wanted to brush his teeth. Which he didn't need to do, he had brushed them before bed! It ended up being that my mom came in to relieve me (Thank you mommy). So she finally got Oliver calm and asleep, then cute little Everett chimed in cause he was hungry! As I was crawling out of my nice warm bed to get Everett a bottle, my mom, being the amazing woman she is said.. "I will get it, you stay in bed". It's so nice to have the help when I feel a little over whelmed. Being a single mom and doing this 24/7 is tough and sometimes a tear jerker (for me anyway).. BUT, I wouldn't trade my life for the world! I am so blessed to have these 2 little boys in my life.

On a more positive note...

Christmas morning was spectacular! Oliver LOVED what Santa brought him and was super excited the rest of the day. Everett chose to sleep in. To be honest, his presents from Santa are still chillin in the front room! Although, I do know his most favorite gift will be his WALKER! Oh ya, Everett LOVES to be on his feet! I honestly don't think Everett will crawl for very long, because he wants to walk so bad! Scary I know ;)! This little Everett of mine, he is so precious and so sweet, but when it comes to me giving him tummy time, he does get a little frustrated! He just wants to stand! :).

Needless to say, Christmas was a blast with family! And we are so grateful to have each other!

Much love and a Merry Christmas!

Love, US! :)

Here are some fun photos for all to see :)

Wonderful Winter Blessings!

I saw this the other day and thought it was funny but SO true, so I thought I should share with all...

The 4 Stages Of Life... You believe in Santa Clause, You don't believe in Santa Clause, You are Santa Clause, then you LOOK like Santa Clause!

I do have to say I feel very blessed to be able to BE Santa Clause! I don't know how I ever lived without my sweet little boys! although, I'm not really looking forward to looking like Santa Clause in years to come...

I love the hustle and bustle of this Holiday season. We all know that shopping is a BIG/sometimes bad hobby of mine ;). Especially when it comes to buying for my kids. I rarely shop for myself anymore, because I absolutely love shopping for my kids.

I am finally ALMOST done with my Santa Clause shopping.. The only things I need now, are Christmas outfits for Everett and Oliver. Boy, do I have a busy day off on Thursday. So much to do with so little time.

Oliver has now started attending a Sports Class at The Little Gym on Wednesdays and he really enjoys it! It's a class full of boys (which is great)! They learn lots of different sports and hand/eye coordination. Last week he played Golf and learned some Soccer skills. This week they are focusing on Football skills. When he turns 4 he gets to start a Break Dancing class, and he is SUPER DEE DUPER excited about that!

Everett, well... He is busy being Everett! He is definitely a little piggy. When he gets hungry, he means business! The other day we (me, Oliver and Everett) were driving in the car, and Everett got hungry! We were almost home but not close enough. Everett started crying for his bottle. Before we knew it he was SCREAMING and Oliver was saying "mom, he's hurting my ears", so I grabbed his ba and while driving with one arm, the other arm was behind me holding the ba for Everett. Good thing we were close to home, that wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world.

Oliver sure loves his little brother! Everett was crying the other day and Oliver said to him "Everett don't be sad, We are a happy family with you". That comment just melted my heart! And once again I felt SO blessed to have such wonderful little boys in my life! I couldn't ask for more! It's amazing how much joy and happiness they bring to my life!

Everett has been growing SO fast! He is in the 80% for his age. He is only 6 months, and he is wearing size 12month. I know that probably shouldn't surprise me. He's going to be tall! It's expected :).

Work is going well for me. I love my job and the peeps I work with! Looks like it's time for me to go, Oliver is teasing Bear and really he should be in bed. :).

Hectic, fun and exciting week!

I started my job on Monday! Holy cow that was a STRESSFUL week! So much to learn with so little time!

Monday was smooth which was great because I needed to get to work a little early to get my badge and all that jazz! I got there right on the time I wanted to get there. (Wasn't hard, being that I live pretty much around the corner.). All in all, I felt good about the day!

Tuesday through Wednesday went smoothly as well.

Then came THURSDAY! Well, I guess it was started with Wednesday night! Here's the deal, Katie (my sista - She is married to my bro.) and I both had work on Thursday, and my sister Celeste had a Conference to go to in Long Beach Cali. So my mom volunteered to watch all the kids. (YES, all of them at once #CRAZYLADY!). Well, on this WONDERFUL Thursday, We had an early morning because Oaklee was coming early (Katie worked early) and Bridgette and Laney slept over the night before so we had to take Bridgette to school early as well. So I got up and got ready to  take Bridgette to her school which is in American Fork and I was ready to leave on time... THEN low and behold, my GPS on my phone decided to be OBNOXIOUS and not work! AHHHH! I had been there once to pick her up, so I KINDA knew where I was going, but not completely. So yes, we were late leaving because I was STRESSING about my dumb GPS which still is not working right... GRRRRR! (OH and I forgot to mention, we thought my dad had to leave for Detroit Friday morning. BUT late Wednesday evening we found out he was scheduled to leave THURSDAY morning!). So anyway, I go home and we had to work out our afternoon, I had work at 2, Bridgette had to be picked up from school by 3, and Everett had his 4 month check up at 3:10... SO here's how that all went, I called Kylee and she said she would be happy to take Everett to his appointment (SAVED BY KYLEE). I wrote down all the things to tell the Dr and also wrote a permission slip for her to be there with him and him still get his shots that he needs. Remembered to leave all that at the house for her. BUT forgot to leave the insurance card, along with the fact that, earlier that day my mom and I decided I would take her car to work because she needed my car to fit 3 carseats with kids in the back when she goes to pick Bridgette up. (the middle seatbelt in her car doesn't work right now). AND I'm sure you've guessed already. I forgot that we decided I would take her car and she would take mine. SO my mom had to have Kylee follow her to my work to pick up the insurance card from the receptionist, then they both went seperate ways. Everett and Oaklee went with Kylee to the Dr and Laney and Oliver went with my mom to get Bridgette from school. MAN, and then Bridgette had a dress rehearsal to be to for dance that night as well.

What a BUSY but FUN day! Luckily our week calmed down quite a bit after that. BUT, even with all that stress I had 2 tests at work during that week that I had to pass or else I would get fired.. Good news is I PASSED! YAY! That was intense!

Busy Lives and Happy Times!

Oh my this week has been super busy! Like I said in my "About Us" paragraph, we are a crazy little bunch with busy lives and happy times :).

Well, to start out.. I have figured out that my little Everett has taste buds very similar to mine. He LOVES sweets! Which I probably should not, I repeat, should not be surprised about. Due to this very fun fact, when I was pregnant with him I CRAVED on a nightly/morning basis (which probably isn't healthy), Chocolate Chip Cookies, freshly baked and right out of the oven, warm Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls (they had to be Rhodes). And in case you're wondering... YES, I did have about 2 cinnamon rolls a day and about 5 cookies at night. haha, and yes, it was my silly little temptation that I gave into. I had to slow down a little for my Glucose test though (doctors orders). Any how, back to what I was saying...  No, I am not an evil mother and I did not give him a taste of something he's not supposed to have. I simply started feeding him BABY FOOD! I love this stage, especially the beginning. I am always excited to see their face on the first taste of baby food. BUT, Everett seems to love and adore anything that goes into that cute little mouth of his :). So, to say the least, his reaction to the first taste of baby food wasn't too bad :). Although he doesn't like Rice Cereal as much, which I don't blame him. It doesn't have much flavor to it. But I do have to say, I know his favorite kind of baby food so far is BANANAS!! And, to top it off he LOVES monkeys!

Since I am on an Everett rampage right now, I need to mention that he can now roll over and he is SO close to sitting up with no support. And he thinks mommy and grandma are super funny :). He is a little social bug and is already scooting/trying to figure out the whole crawling thing!

Today I would like to do a SHOUT OUT to my sweet little Oliver! HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVER! He turned the BIG 3 today! I took him out for Birthday pancakes this morning with his little cousins and their mommies and of course Grandma and Grandpa Superdave!

I believe that Mr. Oliver had a FABULOUS day! He woke up to lots of presents that he was super STOKED about, and had a yummy breakfast, followed by coming back home and playing with his new Buzz Lightyear Command Center with his mommy AKA me! Then he got to go to his dads house for the night and have a party there! WOW what a lucky little guy!

This last week he also got to have a SPACETACULAR (yes, I do make up my own words) birthday party with all his friends, complete with meeting the one and only Kangaroo at Kangaroo Zoo!

This week has also been a good week. I started my job on Monday, November 7th. AND, I really like it so far! AWESOME benefits and GREAT people to work with. My team of course, we are the Pirates! Exciting I know!

That is all for now!

Love you all!
Love, The 3 of us!

Olivers First Kiss ;)

Oliver is officially potty trained (and has been for a while, but I need to do better at updating our blog of course)! Yay! It took a little while.. I do have to say that "Potty Power" is amazing. Oliver was doing great at potty training, but he just didn't seem like he was grasping it until we decided to follow some wonderful advice and order this potty power dvd from Netflix. It was made in the 80's, so it's super cheesey but amazing and a little annoying at times, due to songs being stuck in my head :)!  But, soon after watching that dvd Oliver was potty trained. Now I am free of changing big boy diapers (yuck)!

Soon after being potty trained, the girls in my family took a girls trip to Disneyland. The only boys invited were Oliver and Everett of course! Oh my, did we have a blast! We definitely made some dreams come true on that trip ;)! Close to the end of our trip Grandma Lori asked Oliver what his favorite part of Disneyland was, and he answered, "Minnie Mouse". My guess is it is because she gave him a kiss! He was super excited about that :)! When he came home he was telling his Grandma Karr all about how Minnie Mouse kissed him. She asked him, "Did Mickey Mouse get mad?" he answered, "ummmm yeah".

Halloween was a busy/beautiful day for us! Oliver, along with little Everett of course, got to Trick or Treat at several different places :).  They got to go to Grandpa Karrs work, then to Grandma and Grandpa Karrs house, and over to Grandma and Grandpa Binghams and the in our own neighborhood. We have WAY too much candy!

Come on over, we will gladly share! :)

Bears, Cars, and Tyranosaurus Rett!! OH MY!!

Boy, did we have an eventful day yesterday!!

It all started with me setting my alarm the night before to 6:00am so I could wake up and get ready for the day while the kids slept, and of course, like every other morning I decided to hit my snooze button.. Even though I knew I had to get an early start to go drop some papers off to a State Office building before it got busy.

So, instead my morning got busy right at first. After I had turned my alarm off, my back up alarm went off at 7:00am along with little Everett waking up hungry! OH NO! Right as I got done feeding Everett, Oliver woke up to say he wanted breakfast. Well, I got up got Oliver breakfast then I finally got a chance to get ready for the day! Lucky for me, when I got to the State Offices it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. And my mom came with me to help with the 2 boys :)! Thank you mom!

After that, we decided a little time at The Gate Way would be fabulous! So, we were off to Gate Way Mall where we found that the Baby Gap had a great sale going down :)... I got Oliver a shirt for $8!! That's a steal at the Baby Gap! While we were there, we thought since Oliver has been such a BIG BOY going potty on the potty chair, that he deserves a treat!! We stopped at Build a Bear Workshop  and got Oliver a new buddy that could go potty with him :). He LOVED it!

After a long day of shopping we arrived home just in time for Kylee to come over and help us wash our car!! It's so nice having a clean car! While cleaning it out, I did notice that about 95% of the mess was my kids stuff :)!! Such a wonderful blessing! My life would be boring with out my lil Kidlets!

You're probably wondering why it says Tyrannosaurus Rett in this title... WELL, That's because My aunt Lynda and I have decided that that should be one of Everetts nicknames :) From the day he was born, he has always made little growling noises and I would call him my baby Dinosaur! Now he is Tyrannosaurus Rett!

Now, since I've brought that story up... I do have to finish by telling you how when Oliver was born he was my lil Firework/Whistling Pete, because he literally sounded like a firework :)

I love love LOVE my 2 beautiful boys and the love and joy they bring to my life! I am one blessed woman!! :)

Welcome Fall!

What are we up to now?

Well, we are living with Grandma Lori and Grandpa SuperDave. We are upstairs with them for now, and will soon be living in the basement in a basement apartment that Grandpa SuperDave is building for us. It's so wonderful to have such great support and love from family.

Oliver turns 3 soon, and is really enjoying being a big brother.

Everett is now 3 months and just had his first giggle today (September 25, 2011).

We are welcoming Fall with a smile..

This fall we have so many fun plans. First things first, we are headed to Disneyland in just a few weeks, where we get to go Trick or Treating with Mickey Mouse and all the Disney Villans, and then have some fun with Goofy at Goofy's Kitchen. We are all super excited, especially Oliver! :)

Then... coming up is one of our most favorite Holidays... Halloween!! We even have our Halloween costumes picked out already. Everett will be the cutest little puppy there ever was, and Oliver will be the most handsome little Iron Man there ever was. This should be fun!
