Merry Christmas 2011!

"Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful". - Norman Vincent Peale.

Another thing that makes Christmas even more soft and beautiful for me is my 2 beautiful, sweet little boys! I am SO blessed to have them in my life!
Here is a fun little update on our Christmas this year...

Come Christmas Eve, I had most my shopping done, but unfortunately, I still had a few things to pick up. I also had work from 12pm to 6pm. The plan was to have my mom run and grab those last minute things for me. Luckily, I got out of work earlier then planned! That helped out a ton! So I got out at about 1:30pm, and headed home! Boy, was my mom glad to see me! Shopping on Christmas Eve would have been a little hard with 2 babies by herself. Soon after I arrived home we went out shopping! It really wasn't as bad as we thought it would be out in the shopping world. Although, we did end up running behind a little.

Every Christmas Eve we have our immediate family come to my parents house for a ham dinner and exchange of gifts. This year it was at 6. We didn't get done with all our shopping till 6. Then my mom and I still had to go home and finish wrapping our gifts. We managed to get everything done, and have a fabulous Christmas Eve party!

I was super excited, because earlier Christmas Eve Oliver had said he wanted to go to bed early so that Santa would come to our house fast! Eh, that didn't turn out as planned... Of course Everett was asleep LONG before Oliver had even imagined to go to sleep! Although I was attempting to get Oliver to fall asleep he ended up not falling asleep till 12am. So, I was awake till 2:30am. Soon after that, Everett woke up, and I finally got him back to sleep. And soon after that, Oliver woke up and was half awake throwing a fit because he wanted to brush his teeth. Which he didn't need to do, he had brushed them before bed! It ended up being that my mom came in to relieve me (Thank you mommy). So she finally got Oliver calm and asleep, then cute little Everett chimed in cause he was hungry! As I was crawling out of my nice warm bed to get Everett a bottle, my mom, being the amazing woman she is said.. "I will get it, you stay in bed". It's so nice to have the help when I feel a little over whelmed. Being a single mom and doing this 24/7 is tough and sometimes a tear jerker (for me anyway).. BUT, I wouldn't trade my life for the world! I am so blessed to have these 2 little boys in my life.

On a more positive note...

Christmas morning was spectacular! Oliver LOVED what Santa brought him and was super excited the rest of the day. Everett chose to sleep in. To be honest, his presents from Santa are still chillin in the front room! Although, I do know his most favorite gift will be his WALKER! Oh ya, Everett LOVES to be on his feet! I honestly don't think Everett will crawl for very long, because he wants to walk so bad! Scary I know ;)! This little Everett of mine, he is so precious and so sweet, but when it comes to me giving him tummy time, he does get a little frustrated! He just wants to stand! :).

Needless to say, Christmas was a blast with family! And we are so grateful to have each other!

Much love and a Merry Christmas!

Love, US! :)

Wonderful Winter Blessings!

I saw this the other day and thought it was funny but SO true, so I thought I should share with all...

The 4 Stages Of Life... You believe in Santa Clause, You don't believe in Santa Clause, You are Santa Clause, then you LOOK like Santa Clause!

I do have to say I feel very blessed to be able to BE Santa Clause! I don't know how I ever lived without my sweet little boys! although, I'm not really looking forward to looking like Santa Clause in years to come...

I love the hustle and bustle of this Holiday season. We all know that shopping is a BIG/sometimes bad hobby of mine ;). Especially when it comes to buying for my kids. I rarely shop for myself anymore, because I absolutely love shopping for my kids.

I am finally ALMOST done with my Santa Clause shopping.. The only things I need now, are Christmas outfits for Everett and Oliver. Boy, do I have a busy day off on Thursday. So much to do with so little time.

Oliver has now started attending a Sports Class at The Little Gym on Wednesdays and he really enjoys it! It's a class full of boys (which is great)! They learn lots of different sports and hand/eye coordination. Last week he played Golf and learned some Soccer skills. This week they are focusing on Football skills. When he turns 4 he gets to start a Break Dancing class, and he is SUPER DEE DUPER excited about that!

Everett, well... He is busy being Everett! He is definitely a little piggy. When he gets hungry, he means business! The other day we (me, Oliver and Everett) were driving in the car, and Everett got hungry! We were almost home but not close enough. Everett started crying for his bottle. Before we knew it he was SCREAMING and Oliver was saying "mom, he's hurting my ears", so I grabbed his ba and while driving with one arm, the other arm was behind me holding the ba for Everett. Good thing we were close to home, that wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world.

Oliver sure loves his little brother! Everett was crying the other day and Oliver said to him "Everett don't be sad, We are a happy family with you". That comment just melted my heart! And once again I felt SO blessed to have such wonderful little boys in my life! I couldn't ask for more! It's amazing how much joy and happiness they bring to my life!

Everett has been growing SO fast! He is in the 80% for his age. He is only 6 months, and he is wearing size 12month. I know that probably shouldn't surprise me. He's going to be tall! It's expected :).

Work is going well for me. I love my job and the peeps I work with! Looks like it's time for me to go, Oliver is teasing Bear and really he should be in bed. :).
